I wanted to update my blog so I filled the post with pictures...the writing will be cut short because I am swamped today. I am hosting the family Christmas party tonight and have been busy all day!!! Thank goodness the boys have been quiet and content today!!!
The boys first Thanksgiving was very enjoyable. We started with lunch at my in-laws for a big Italian meal. The girls and the babies hung outside on a blanket looking at all of the ads from the paper, the boys played washers and then I hit some golf balls from the backyard (the in laws live on a driving range). I had not hit in years and had a few embarrassing moments but finally found my groove and nailed the balls.
Next we went to my parents house for the turkey dinner. I made paper leaves and had everyone write down what they were thankful for and my nephew read them out loud. Some were touching and some were funny...like my brother saying he is thankful for his wife's nice ass :-) He did balance it with a touching comment, as well.
My nephew tried a few sips of wine and the boys tried mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes from our plate...it was pretty cute!
Well, I am off to do the finishing touches for the party!
I've always been so jealous of the Italian Thanksgiving y'all have with Joe's parents. YUM! Glad y'all had a nice Thanksgiving. Love the pic of you and Chase. He looks so big in that photo.
ReplyDeleteThose are the cutest pictures. Amy, I'm not saying this to be nice but I'm telling you the truth...your boys are sooo adorable!!! And I love the little "I'm stuffed" outfits you have them dressed in. I laughed so hard when I read them. Sooo cute!
ReplyDeleteThis is going to be such a fun Christmas for you and your hubby. I'm looking forward to seeing the pictures of your two little Q-T pies. It's amazing how one of the twins looks so much like you and the other like your husband. Y'all make beautiful babies....
Have a wonderful and relaxing weekend. Are you ready for Christmas?
Hugs,
Gigi
I agree with Jill - Chase looks soooo big in that photo (grown-up big). What lovely family photos of the four of you - enjoy your Christmas party!
ReplyDeleteGreat family pics ... and traditions! :) Have fun at your party!!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how big they're getting! Looks like everyone had a great time!
ReplyDeleteThey are so adorable!!! We were going to have a big holiday party for DH's family at our house that day (19th), but we got 2 feet of snow dumped in our area, so we canceled it. We were having an Italian food theme to our party.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas! Enjoy!
Just stopping by to wish you a Happy New Year's!!! I look forward to seeing more pictures of the boys this year. I'm sure you'll have your hands busy and have all sorts of new stories once they begin to crawl/walk. Have a wonderful blessed start to 2010.
