1. Hearing bass from someones party when I am relaxing in my home. A house on some land behind my neighborhood decided to rent out their space for parties...now I have to hear it every freakin Saturday!
2. Leaving comments on a blog and never once hearing a reply. It's like saying Hi to someone and they look at you and keep walking. How Rude!
3. A cool fall day followed by a hot humid Houston day! What a tease!
4. People who are not honest about themselves. There are alot of people out there who have the general public and even friends fooled.
5. I have gained weight SINCE my babies were born...not so much during my pregnancy but AFTER! What the hell!!!?
6. Finding the time to sneak away from the house, alone, to go have a bowl of my favorite potato soup loaded with cheese, only to find out they JUST sold the last bowl to the man behind me!! Seriously?? Hey, I think I just found the reason for #5.
7. Having expectations of people and being told I shouldn't have expectations...easier said than done. Some times I expect a little reciprocation or gratitude.
8. People (mostly celebrities) who deny having fertility treatments. Why in the world would you lie about it? Do they think it makes their babies any less theirs? Or make them any less of a woman? To each her own...but it irritates me!
9. People who get rid of their animals when they have kids...animals get attached people!!!! They are part of the family!! Now you have kids so screw the animal? (if the animal is causing harm to your child then that is a different story)
10. The freakin mosquito's!!!! I can't go outside without getting swarmed by them. It's November!!! Die mosquito's!!!
11. People who are rude to old people. Don't even get me started on this one.
12. Laying out all of my scrap booking supplies and 42 Halloween pictures and not having a clue where to start or what to do!
Okay...I think I am done for the night! Just had to get a few things off my chest and what better place to do it? This way no one had to hear me rant and find things to say back! Like my poor husband who hears it all the time...over and over.
OMG! I totally agree with you and all, but most of all the no reply when you comment to someone! It IS rude! Hello, what happened to being friendly? Maybe they just expect people to read their blogs... who knows! I second your irritants! (If that makes you feel anybetter... heehee)
ReplyDeleteHey there! Ugh... first I have to apologize - you asked the other day about the camera and I totally blanked on getting back to you -- the boys have been sick for 2 weeks and finally went back to school this week. Friday my first day of any peace and quiet .... I scooted off to get my hair cut, lunch out (solo), and a little shopping.
ReplyDeleteI hope getting all your irritants off your chest helped ... sounds like you had a down kind of day.
If it's any consolation, after my 1st, I gained SOOO much weight. Given I had about 40-45 during the pregnancy, but jacked it up another 10 AFTER he was born. I was nursing and blamed it on that - I was *always* hungry! ugh.... 5 yrs later and I still am. LOL
Sending some fall your way from southern New England!
Amy, love your list!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree on the comments thing. I'll try about three times and then stop commenting. I won't stop reading if I really like the blog.
And the expectations. My word, I've got ISSUES with that. I'm trying very hard at the moment to lower my expectations of friends (I have one who only emails/ texts if she's down or has problems, never comments on my facebook stuff and it's getting on my nerves big time). And I can't write on my blog because she reads it.
Great list. I hate the bass in the car next to me, I can't imagine having to hear it while I'm home. Must be aggravating!
ReplyDeleteI get so jealous of all the northerners talking about their beautiful fall weather. Here in FL it's still stifling hot too!
Oh my gosh... I can't believe that about the land behind your house. Have you called the police when it gets loud? I think you should.
ReplyDeleteIf I were there, I could help you with your Halloween scrapbook pages. In fact, that sounds really fun.
I did! I did ... but it was on my blog :) I shoot with a digital SLR, Canon Rebel xti. I love it. Got it a few years ago now and still have more to learn about it, more lens to get, and an external flash, an umbrella and other pieces for a "mobile studio". Hope you're enjoying your Sunday. Pats are on tonight :)
ReplyDeleteUGH to number 5, me too.
ReplyDeleteI lost ALL the weight from the grils within 3 weeks. (most of it was water) Somehow it is slowly creeping back, I'm guessing it's the siting at a desk for 9 hours a day that is doing it to me.
Gaining weight after having a baby sucks! Of course, if I were more active maybe I wouldn't still look like I did when I was 7 months pregnant. Totally agree with you about the bass...annoying as hell, especially when it seems they are driving up and down our street. Maybe I should sic swamp thing on them...
