YAWN......
Okay...this is going to be short. First, I want to thank you all for your comments on my last post...Thanks for all the nice words!! Second, I AM EXHAUSTED!!! Oh my gosh...I had no idea how upside down my world was going to be. We are so tired, I cry all the time, my house feels like a strange place...but I love those baby boys!!! I can't stop staring at them in amazement...I want to smother them in kisses. But, again, I am sooo tired!! When is life going to seem normal again??

The Boy's Are Here!!!
Well, they came 5 weeks early but they are here and healthy!!! Last Saturday I went to the hospital to drop off a urine sample (Dr. was having some concerns about pre-eclampsia) and to get monitored and all of a sudden I am being told that the boys will be delivered in a few hours!! The whole day is a blur now...I was terrified! We were so not prepared to hear that...we were a wreck about how early it was. And I was a wreck about having a c-section.
The whole thing took about 40 minutes.....when that first baby came out crying the tears flowed uncontrollably. I was so relieved that their lungs were working and hearing them cry hit me like a ton of bricks...they are real and they are mine!!
I stayed at the hospital for 5 days and the boys were in the NICU the whole time which broke my heart. They had feeding tubes put in after 2 days because they were not eating enough...I sobbed. I had no idea I could love something so fast! We went down several times a day to hold and feed them which is not easy after having your stomach sliced open!!! But it was worth it!!
Family and friends came by everyday to visit and see the boys which helped take my mind off the fact that I was sitting in a hospital bed without my boys next to me...it was really hard. Joe was awesome!! He took such good care of me and made about 100 trips to the NICU a day!!!
We left the hospital Wednesday and the boys had to stay for more observation...they were already eating better and had the tubes out but the Dr's wanted to make sure they stayed that way. Well, we brought them home yesterday and are in heaven....scared out of our minds...but in heaven!!!

Here are the rules...1. Upload your prom picture. If you don't have one, email your mom and have her send it to you. That's what I had to do. :)
2. Don't forget to include the year it was taken. Again, don't be shy. The older the better.
3. Grab the "Prom Queen" button on my sidebar and add to your post. Isn't the button adorable? Thank you Danielle, The Design Girl. You must check out her fabulous sale!

Wow, it's been awhile!
I suck at blogging!!! I am not working anymore and have no excuses!! I will be better!!!
Well, I am 27 weeks pregnant and look like I am 45 weeks! I am HUGE and the boys move constantly...especially baby B...he's going to be my handful! Everyday he moves his body into a position that has his head right below my right boob...I can rub my hand over my stomach and feel his little head!
I am just now starting to get very uncomfortable. This week my feet started swelling..one worse than the other. It hurts to walk because of my pelvic bones constantly shifting and sleeping soundly is near impossible! But...it's all worth it! We just got the house re-carpeted and the baby furniture set up...I can't stop sitting in the baby room which helps me forget about the discomfort :-)
I posted a few pictures of Joe and I in the room and 1 picture of the view from the glider. Since the pictures were taken I have added the bedding and am about to hang pictures....I will post finished room pictures in a week or 2! I will also post some pictures from my first baby shower that my friends Jill, Nikki and Maria threw for me...it was amazing, fun, creative and so special!!!

THE BELLY
Here it is....my stomach in all it's glory!! I still can't believe how big I already am! I went for an U/S yesterday and they are right on track and moving alot, although I swear I don't feel it! I got to see both of them yawn which was pretty freakin cute!! Now, I just need to get my scanner up and working and I will post some pictures from the U/S...you know, the alien face, a hand, a circled penis that looks like a blob :-)

Update...pictures to follow.
Okay...you kind people who left me a comment have encouraged me to start blogging again! I try to always have pictures with my posts but the scanner is down so they will be 'coming soon'.
Update on babies.....it's 2 BOYS!!! We found out 2 weeks ago (16 wks prego at the time) when we went for an ultrasound with a perinatal specialist. It was one of the the most surreal moments in this whole experience. Even though I am definitely showing, hear the heartbeats and see them on ultrasound, it is still hard to grasp the reality of it all. I still can't believe it happened!! Seriously, sometimes I don't believe it.
So, when the Dr. quietly said "Baby A looks like a boy" I was totally in awe. It all became more real, now they were becoming more real to me. I looked at Joe with the biggest grin and of course he had one to match! Then the Dr. said "Baby B is a boy"..what, 2 boys?! So cool!!! We had hoped for 1 of each but said if it was going to be 2 of the same sex we would prefer 2 boys...so, close enough!
We walked out of that room feeling more like parents. No longer are we saying the twins...it's now the boys! Little boys bringing home bugs, playing sports, getting dirty...we can't wait!! Now I am anxiously waiting to feel them. I am huge and Baby B is in constant motion on the ultrasound but I am not sure I have felt them yet. I felt a little "bump" last night...maybe that was one of my boys!!

Does anybody follow my blog? I have slacked off on the post's and use the excuse of "no one reads it" (poor me..haha) to justify my lack of posting. I suppose I have alot to talk about considering I am FINALLY pregnant and am experiencing so many new things! Okay...I just talked myself into it. I will update my blog
